How to make solar power irrigation system project model for school science exhibition

INTRODUCTION

In this topic, we are going to show you how to build solar power irrigation system model at home for your science project or exhibitions.

This homemade science experiment is done using materials like cardboard, white, color paper and a hot glue gun, etc which is easily available at home at low cost.

What is Solar-powered irrigation model?

With the given power crisis energy in India with 4 to 6 hours of power is available for agriculture. Solar is free energy with some initial investment.

Solar energy will be one of the easiest ways for farmers to produce energy.

This model represents how the irrigation system operates using solar energy. This system uses photovoltaic power than the regular power from the grid.

Here the solar energy is absorbed by the solar panel cells, in turn, will convert into the electrical energy

A photovoltaic solar-powered pump system is made up of three parts:

  • solar panels.
  • the voltage controller
  • the submersible pump

Benefits of Solar Irrigation System

  • Lower Operating Cost due to energy generates directly from Sun which is free.
  • No Harm to Environment or it is friendly to nature[Renewable clean power]

Solar irrigation science project at home step by step video?

In this video, we will show steps by step video instructions on how to build solar power irrigation system model at home easy way.

First, take three large rectangular shape cardboards and four dove soapboxes. Apply fevicol and stick the dove soapboxes to the four corners of one rectangular shape cardboard. Now place another rectangular shape cardboard and stick them to the other side of dove soap.

Take white chart paper, cut it and stick it around the rectangular shape cardboard as shown in the video. Take blue color paint and apply it to half part of one side of the rectangle. Similarly, take brown color paint and apply it to another part of one side of the rectangle and all the sides of the rectangle.

Apply green color to the top of the rectangle. Take third rectangular cardboard and color it with blue color. Take small rectangular shape cardboard and color it with black color, paste white strips of papers to it to form a solar panel.

Create multiple long sticks of black and one green color. Create circular cardboard, color it with black color and cut the long black stick and attach it with hot glue to create legs of the table.

Use a yellow color plastic bottle to form an overhead tank. Take thin cardboard and make a cylindrical shape and stick it with grey color paper. Create two holes and attach straws as shown in the video to form the water pump. Create multiple cotton plants.

Attach blue color rectangular cardboard to the rectangular box with the help of hot glue and stick sun and clouds to it.

Create a stand and stick the solar panel to it, stick controller next to it and water pump beside it with the help of hot glue. Connect straw from the pump to the yellow color overhead tank. Stick multiple cotton plants and put some mud around them.

Take one more straw and attach to the yellow color overhead tank to supply water to cotton plants. Stick wire from solar panel to controller for power supply and from the controller to the water pump. Label all the parts of the solar irrigation model as a solar panel, controller, pump, ground water, ground level, overhead tank as shown in the video.
