How to make Save Earth – Save Environment Working Model

n this video, watch a beautiful DIY working model showing the theme “Save Earth – Save Environment” made using simple materials like color paper, cardboard, and LED lights powered by a 9V battery and switch.

The Earth is surrounded by people figures made from paper, rotating slowly with the help of a motor. Plants are added on the Earth to highlight the importance of greenery and sustainability. The Sun glows brightly using an LED to show the source of energy and life.

Perfect for science exhibitions, school projects, and Earth Day celebrations.

Let’s work together to save our planet!

Materials Needed:

  • Thick cardboard sheet (for base and Earth platform)
  • Color papers (green, blue, brown, etc.)
  • Small toy motor (slow speed, like 30-60 RPM) or a slow DC motor
  • 9V battery and battery clip
  • Mini switch
  • LED light (for Sun)
  • Resistor (optional, to protect the LED)
  • Wires (for electrical connections)
  • Hot glue gun or Fevicol
  • Plastic plants or paper plants (for planting on Earth)
  • Paper cutouts of people
  • Skewer stick or strong wire (to make Earth rotate)
  • Small round thermocol ball (for Earth) or cardboard Earth cutout
  • Marker pens, paint (optional for decoration)
  • Small stand (to fix motor and hold rotating Earth)

Step-by-Step Video Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • Take a strong cardboard sheet as the base.
    • Decorate it with green color paper to look like land or garden.
  2. Create the Rotating Earth:
    • Cut a round circle from cardboard OR use a small thermocol ball painted like Earth (blue for water, green for land).
    • Stick small paper plants or small artificial plants on the Earth to show plantation.
  3. Attach the Motor:
    • Fix the slow speed motor vertically on the base.
    • Attach a skewer stick or plastic rod to the motor shaft.
    • Stick the Earth (cardboard circle or ball) on the rod.
    • When the motor rotates, the Earth will rotate slowly!
  4. Make the Sun with LED Light:
    • Cut a yellow or orange sun shape from color paper.
    • Behind the sun, fix an LED light.
    • Connect the LED to the 9V battery through a switch.
  5. Wire the Motor and LED:
    • Connect the motor and LED parallelly to the same 9V battery.
    • Attach a switch to turn ON/OFF the circuit easily.
    • If needed, use a small resistor with LED to prevent burning out.
  6. Add People Around the Earth:
    • Cut small people figures from color paper.
    • Arrange them around the rotating Earth and stick them to the base.
    • Symbolically shows that people are protecting and caring for Earth.
  7. Final Decoration:
    • Write “Save Earth – Save Environment” using a marker or print it on color paper and stick it on the base.
    • Add extra trees, small rivers, houses from paper to make it more lively.
  8. Testing:
    • Switch ON the circuit:
      • LED Sun should glow
      • Earth should rotate slowly
      • Plants and people remain fixed around it
