how to make DIY Human Digestive system model for SCIENCE EXHIBITION or Fair

Human Digestive system model

In this topic video, we are showing how you can make yourself the human digestive system model for your biology project.

Digestive system is the most important of human body. If it does not function properly, it leads to many other problems.

Digestive system is responsible for the digestion of food in the body that leads to functioning of the body. The digestive system consists of digestive tract, other organs to process the food and allows to be absorbable into the blood stream.

It also has a structure that allows waste to pass through for elimination. The digestive tract consists of mouth, oral cavity, throat, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, colon and ends at rectum.

All these organs together contribute to the processing of the food and preparing the waste for elimination.

This digestive system project model can be used for class 4 and later up to class 12. This model can be used completely free in any of your school science exhibition or fairs.

Questions

1.What are the steps in the digestive system?

Mouth, Esophagus, stomach(liver, gallbladder, pancreas),small intestine, large intestine, colon, rectum, anus

2.What is the digestive process?

The digestive process starts as soon as we first bite the meal. In the mouth, it chews that breaks the food into pieces and saliva mix when it is breaking, so that body can also observe it

3. Explain the functioning of stomach in the digestive system?

A. When the food enters from the mouth to the stomach through oesophagus, the stomach secrets enzymes to digest the food. The stomach muscles called as rugae, churns the food to enhance digestion.

4. What is the elimination process?

A. In the elimination process, the undigested food enters into the colon through the small intestine where water is absorbed into it. The waste is moved through the colon by movement of the muscles. Thus, it is stored in the rectum for elimination.

5. What are the four main functions of digestive system?

A. The main goal of the digestive system is to gain energy and nutrients to the body. This complete process includes four functions, they are, ingestion, secretion, mixing and movement.

6. Explain the importance of small intestine and large intestine?

A. Small intestine is responsible for 90 percent of the digestion and absorption of food occurs. The rest of the process takes place in the large intestine and stomach. The crucial function of the small intestine is absorption of food and giving nutrients to the body.

Conclusion:

In order to sustain, every human body has to obtain nutrients from the environment.

The nutrients from the food help in the synthesis of cellular material and regulators of chemical reactions. This is successfully carried out by the digestive system.

Thus, it is very important for the proper functioning of the digestive system.
