Among all the seasons, that are most commonly grouped as winter, rainy and summer, summer season is considered to be the hottest of all. During the summers, days are longest and nights the shortest.

Depending on the region and other climatic conditions, the summer temperature vary on a large scale. Some regions in the world experience extreme summers and where as some regions experience optimal summers and, in some regions, summers are associated with heat and humidity.

In meteorological convention, the two hemispheres, southern and northern, experience summer during different time of the year.

The northern hemisphere experience summer from June to August and the southern hemisphere experience summer from Jan to May.
