When we wind multiple times the rubber band our muscular energy transforms into potential energy in a rubber band.
When we leave rubber band then its potential energy transforms into mechanical energy in a rubber band, resulting to act like a propeller which gives it motion.
When the propeller moves it provides a force on the water in backward direction then water also gives equal force to the boat by which it moves in front.

In this video, we will show steps by step video instructions on how to build a rubber band powered boat model at home easy way.
First, take an empty plastic water bottle and attach two ice cream sticks on the opposite sides at the bottom portion of the bottle with the help of a big rubber band and thread.
Take both plastic spoons and break the back portion of the same. Next, attach back portion of both the spoons with the help of thread as shown in the video.
Use a small rubber band and tag another end of the ice cream sticks attached to the plastic bottle.
Next, place the attached plastic spoons in the middle of it and wind multiple times so that it can work like a propeller fan.
Now continue to wind it and stop when it’s very difficult to wind it any further because if you will try to wind it more than the frame of our boat or rubber band can break.
Now we had done with winding rubber band so let the boat sale. Place the boat in the tub containing water to its brim.
Observe that the fan rotates which acts as a propeller and boat will move around in the tub.
Now let the boat sale and once its winding finishes again turn the propeller in the same way you did earlier and put it back in the water.
