Eye Anatomy

The eye is the important organ in the human body that helps for the sight.

The visual system comprises of eyes. In neurons, convert light into electro-chemical impulses.

A complex optical system that collects light from surrounding environment and diaphragm helps to regulate its intensity, focuses it through an adjustable assembly of lenses to form an image and converts it into a set of electrical signals.

The eye has various components includes a cornea, iris, pupil, lens, retina, macula, optic nerve, choroid and vitreous.

Cornea: The front window part of the eye that transmits and focuses light into the eye.

Iris: is like the diaphragm of a camera which will control the amount of light reached back of the eye that automatically controls the size of the pupil

Pupil: is a black hole situated in the center of the iris of the eye that ensures that light strike to the retina.

Retina: inside part of the eye which is the light-sensitive layer of tissue of the eye

Macula: This is an is an oval-shaped pigmented area near the center of the retina of the human eye.

Optic Nerve: This is located in the back of the eye which transmits the visual information from the retina to the brain.

How to make a human eye model for a school project at home step by step video?

In this video, we will show steps by step video instructions on how to build a human eye model at home easy way.

First, take rectangular shape cardboard and draw a circle with the help of the compass.

Apply fevicol on the eye cardboard and stick the orange color eye-shaped paper on to it. Now with the help of sketch pen draw outline of the eye.

Next, create a circle on the cardboard and cut it into the shape of the retina. Apply fevicol on the eye cardboard and stick the yellow color retina shape on to it. Now with the help of sketch pen draw outline of the retina.

Take a small rectangular-shaped piece of cardboard and draw lens and cut it. Apply fevicol on the lens and stick the white lens-shaped paper on to it.

Now create an iris on the cardboard and cut it into the shape of iris. Apply fevicol on the iris cardboard and stick the blue color iris shaped paper on to it. Now with the help of sketch pen draw outline of the iris

Next paste retina on the cornea, now paste lens and iris on the cornea. Now draw various nerves inside the eye with the help of sketch pen.

Next take a big rectangular shape cardboard having white paper pasted on to it and finally glue the retina on to it with the help of hot glue gun and once done make sure to label all the parts of the eye like retina, superior rectus muscle, Iris, pupil, cornea, lens, inferior rectus muscle and optic nerve.
