Animal Cell 3D Model for School Science Project

Introduction:

Cells in any living body play very crucial role in proper functioning of the body. Animals cells have nucleus which are membrane bound. The animal cells are called as eukaryotic cells where the DNA of the animals is inside the nucleus.

Apart from this, the nucleus also has tiny structures that perform necessary cellular functions in the body. These tiny structures are called as organelles that produce hormones and enzymes to provide strength to the animal cells.

The main components of the animal cells are, cell membrane, centrioles, cilia, cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes, ribosomes, peroxisomes, microtubules, mitochondria and the nucleus.

Nucleus is the most important part of the cell, it has two components further, nucleolus that helps the synthesis of the ribosomes and nucleopore that allow the proteins to move in and out of the nucleus.

In this video, we show a 3D project model for animal cell for science exhibition. It can be done using materials that easily available.

Questions and Answers:

  1. What are the functions of animal cell?

A. Cells are the most important part of any living body. They are responsible for the proper functioning of the organism. Cells work together in coordination to release hormones and enzymes that helps in the growth of the animal.

2. What is an animal cell in simple terms?

A. Animal cells are also called as eukaryotic cells where in the nucleus has membrane lining inside it.

3. What is the importance of nucleus in the animal cell?

A. Nucleus in the animal cells is different than the cells in the plants. Nucleus has two structures within itself, nucleolus and nucleopore.

4. What are the types of animal cells?

A. There are three types of animal cells which perform different functions. They are skeletal, smooth and cardiac type.

Conclusion:

The main components of the animal cells are structures like centrioles, cilia, flagella and lysosomes. Centrioles organize the microtubules during the cell division.

The digest waste is processed by the lysosomes. Cilia and flagella are called twin structures because they have the same structure.

They perform different function and different in length. Thus, animal cells have many components that make them work together successfully for the proper functioning of the organism.
