Welcome to this DIY Science Project on how to make a Biogas Plant Working Model that shows how organic waste can be converted into renewable energy and electricity!

In this video, we demonstrate a miniature biogas plant setup that produces biogas from kitchen waste and cow dung, and shows how that gas can be used to generate electricity by running a small turbine or LED setup.
What You’ll Learn:
- How biogas is formed from anaerobic decomposition of organic matter
- How methane gas can be used as renewable fuel
- How biogas energy can be converted to electricity using a turbine or generator model
- Step-by-step process of building a working model for science exhibitions
HOW IT WORKS
- Organic waste and water are mixed in the digester tank.
- Anaerobic bacteria break down the waste in the absence of oxygen.
- This process releases biogas (mainly methane) which collects in the gas chamber.
- The gas passes through a pipe to a mini turbine, generating electricity that lights an LED bulb.
- The leftover slurry can be used as organic fertilizer — making this model eco-friendly and sustainable.
