how to make forest fire – natural disaster – working model

This model will demonstrate how forest fires start and spread, their impact on the environment, and ways to prevent them. You will use color paper, cardboard, dried plants, and LED lights for fire effects to create a visually engaging project.

Materials Required:

Cardboard (for base and background)
Color paper (for trees, sky, and fire effects)
Paint & sketch pens (for details and labeling)
Dried plants/sticks (to represent trees and bushes)
LED lights (red/yellow/orange) (for fire effect)
Battery pack and wires (to power LED lights)
Glue & scissors

Steps to Make the Model:

1. Prepare the Base (Ground & Forest Area)

  • Take a large cardboard piece as the base.
  • Paint it brown and green to represent soil and grass.
  • Attach dried plants/sticks to create a dense forest.

2. Create the Background (Sky & Sun)

  • Use light blue color paper for the sky.
  • Cut out a sun shape from orange/yellow paper and stick it on top.
  • Add smoke clouds using cotton or gray color paper.

3. Add Trees & Bushes

  • Cut paper trees from green and brown color paper.
  • Stick them upright on the base to create a dense forest look.
  • Mix paper trees with dried plants for a realistic effect.

4. Create the Fire Effect (Using LED Lights & Paper Flames)

  • Cut flame shapes from red, orange, and yellow color paper.
  • Stick the flames near the trees and bushes.
  • Install red and yellow LED lights inside the flame cutouts to make the fire glow.
  • Connect the LEDs to a battery pack and switch so you can turn the fire effect ON and OFF.

5. Show the Impact of Fire (Burnt Area & Animals Running Away)

  • Paint some trees black to show burnt trees.
  • Use black and gray sketch pens to draw ash and smoke on trees and ground.
  • Add paper cutouts of animals (deer, birds, rabbits) running away from the fire.

6. Label the Model

  • Cut small rectangular pieces of color paper and write labels with sketch pens:
    • “Forest Fire”
    • “Dry Trees & Leaves”
    • “Animals in Danger”
    • “Burnt Area”
    • “Smoke & Air Pollution”
    • “Fire Prevention Methods” (e.g., No littering, controlled burning)
