- Prepare the base:
- Cut out a rectangular or square piece of cardboard to serve as the base for your states of matter model. The size can vary depending on how detailed you want the model to be.
- Create the solid state:
- Use one colored paper (e.g., brown or gray) to cut out shapes representing solid objects, such as a cube, pyramid, or any other form that clearly represents a solid structure. Glue or tape these shapes onto the cardboard base.
- Form the liquid state:
- Use a different colored paper (e.g., blue) to cut out wavy shapes to represent a liquid. You can create droplets or puddles to demonstrate the fluidity of the liquid state. Glue or tape these shapes next to the solid objects on the cardboard base.
- Represent the gas state:
